Synonyms of Sonance is a collection of collaborative works from many of College of the Atlantic's talented aural artists. Although not every artist and style of music from our campus is included, we believe this collection represents the diverse array of sounds. The proceeds from this album will go to help support COA's newly acquired recording studio and the equipment needed to encourage and sustain our community's wonderful music culture. We hope to use the funds and equipment to continue other projects in the future and to preserve the community’s aural art. Please enjoy.
While this album is offered for free, we ask that you contribute financially to support the music at College of the Atlantic (We would be happy if everyone gave $5 or 1.5 Starbucks coffees). If you don't want to pay for it, that is totally fine, but we would appreciate it if you shared the album so other people can enjoy this music too!
We recommend you purchase the entire album because the songs are meant to be played in order and the interspersed poems relate to the songs on either side of them. The poems at the end of each song are all written and performed by Galen Hecht. Arlo Cristofaro played guitar on them.
Short poems in order:
Walk and Talk and Turn
Feeble Earth
Ta-Tap
Trailing Animation
